Attractions for the 2 Days Tsavo East and Taita Hills Saltlick safari from Mombasa

Day to Day itinerary
Day 1: Mombasa - Tsavo East
You will be picked from your hotel in the morning then drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi road to Tsavo East National park. Enter the park via Bachuma gate and embark on game viewing drive with chances of encountering Elephants, Lions , Buffalos, Cheetah, Zebras, Giraffe, Antelopes etc. You will then visit the famous Aruba dam where lots of game animals and bird species can be found especially during the dry spell. Proceed with the safari game drive to Voi safari lodge (one of our favorite Tsavo East safari accommodation) where you will have lunch and relax till 3.00 pm after which you will depart to Taita Hills Saltlick wildlife sanctuary. Arrive at Taita Hills Saltlick lodge for check in at around 4.00 pm. Proceed with a game drive till 6.30 pm then you will drive back to Saltlick lodge where you will have dinner and overnight.
Taita Hills wild life sanctuary covers an area of 24,000 Ha. Physical attractions include thorny bushes, acacia forests, arid and savannah, swamp and Taita hills among others. Animals found here include elephants, lions, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, different types of birds like (ostriches, horny bills, guinea fowls, king fishers, weaver birds etc). Dinner and overnight at Saltlick lodge.
Day 2: Taita Hills Saltlick - Mombasa
Wake up at around 5.30 am, have a cup of coffee and start an early morning safari game drive in the Saltlick game sanctuary before the main breakfast. This time you have a chance of seeing the big cats of Saltlick among other animals and bird species before returning to the lodge for the main breakfast. check out of Taita Hills Saltlick Lodge and embark on a mid morning game drive in the Saltlick Sanctuary as we drive towards Voi town for lunch and our onward road trip back to Mombasa to arrive at your hotel in the early evening. End of Tsavo East and Saltlick Safari.
