6 Days Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing - Up Machame Route, Down Machame Route

Day 1: Moshi/Arusha - Machame Gate

Breakfast, drive from your hotel in Moshi/Arusha to Machame gate (about 45min.). After about an hour of registration and park fees payments, start climbing along a clear trail through plantation and natural forest, thereafter a narrow forest path follows to the Machame hut (9,900ft).

Day 2: Machame - Shira

Breakfast, ascending through the forest, steep ridge passing through heather and open moorlands, and crossing a large gorge to Shira hut (12,600ft). The distance is about 5-6 hours.

Day 3: Shira - Baranco Hut

After breakfast, we will ascend to Lava tower (15,180ft) with lunch on the way to Baranco, then descend slowly to Baranco hut (12,850ft) for dinner and overnight, B, L ,D.

5 days Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing Up Marangu Route - Down Marangu Route

Day 1: Moshi/Arusha - Marangu Gate

After breakfast our safari driver guide will drive you from your hotel to Marangu gate, we will spend about two hours for registration, payments of fees and final parking. Start climbing through dense semi-tropical to the first hut- Mandara hut (9,000ft). Dinner and an overnight stay at Mandara hut.

Day 2: Marangu Gate - Horombo Hut

Breakfast, ascend through the alpine meadow, and grassland and moorland to Horombo hut (12,000ft). Both Mawenzi and Kibo peaks can be viewed easily on the way. Dinner and an overnight stay at Horombo hut.

6 Days Mount Kenya Climbing up Sirimoni Route, down Naro Moru Route

Day 1: Nairobi -Sirimon - Judmaier Camp (Old Moses Camp)

Leave Nairobi in the morning and drive to Nanyuki town for lunch, taking about 4 hours. Proceed to Sirimon Gate, 1 hr, 2440m. From the gate follow the track as it winds uphill though the forest which becomes heath land after about 3 hrs. About 3½ hours from the gate the track veers right to Judmaier Camp, 3300m for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Old Moses -Liki North Camp

After climbing through the rain forest to 3993m. We will spend the night at liki camp north.

Day 3: Liki North Camp - Shipton's Camp

The trail proceeds to Shipton’s camp where we will rest in order to acclimatise overnight.

5 Days Mount Kenya Climbing up Sirimon Route Down Chogoria Route

Day 1: Nairobi/Sirimon/Judmier Camp (Old Moses Camp)

Leave Nairobi in the morning and drive to Nanyuki town for lunch then proceed to Sirimon Gate. About 3½ hours from the gate the track veers right to Judmier Camp, 3300m for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Judmier Camp/Shipton Camp

After breakfast, follow the track uphill, forking left at the junction. After one hour from Old Moses Camp, the track crosses Ontulili River. Go right contouring through the Moorland and crossing Liki North and continue uphill to Mackinders Valley from where there are panoramic views up the valley towards the main peaks. Dinner and overnight at Shipton Camp.
